There is a long (long, long) list of candidates competing for your vote during election season next week. As part of Pelican’s meet the candidates series, we will be bringing you some of the responses that OB (Office Bearer) candidates gave to questions we asked them.
Our first ticket is COSTA. Presidential candidate Costa Toufexis was the only candidate to answer our questions.

What motivated you to run for your position this year?
I thought it’d be funny.
What do you think are the biggest issues on campus now and into the future?
I feel like I should say cuts. Parking also bad.
What is the policy you are most passionate about?
Cutting Pelican Magazine and making UWA Shitposting the official student news outlet.
Why are you the best person for the job?
I have the most experience on clubs, facsocs and guild council then the other candidates combined and I make funny meme haha.
Do you know what the Guild actually does?
I’ve been here two years and still don’t know.
What are your thoughts on the moon landing?
The moon doesn’t exist, it’s just a hologram.

Cricket, football (soccer), running, making memes.
