We’ve been thinking about you too. Yes, you absolutely should apply. In fact, we’re eagerly waiting to hear from you right this minute, because we know you’d be brilliant. There are no prerequisites to join our Pelican family. Previous experience is not essential and you definitely do not need a fancy writing degree. All you need is a passion for student press, dedication, a head full of wild ideas and you’re already half-hired. Apply now. We’d make a stellar team.

You can apply for as many positions as you desire but you will only be successful in one ( you can, however, be both a member of the Media Team and a Sub-editor). We strongly advise you to read the Role Descriptions below before submitting your response in the application.

We know this is a lengthy application process, but we are looking for something serious, not a summer fling. We are looking for commitment: sub-editors we could take home to meet our parents. We’re in this for the long-haul.

If you don’t adore track changes and co-ordinating content, but you are full of millions or even just one burning idea for an article, graphic column, cartoon series, a podcast, a youtube series, memes or an aesthetic for our gram, we made another form especially for you. Please fill out this form and also send us an email with your resume and any of the content you may have created for the idea. This could be audio for a podcast, the start of a comic…but this isn’t essential, just a chance for you to show us where you’re at, if you want. Just make sure you fill out the form, and send us your resume, to us by the 9th of December.
We will then conduct in person or Skype interviews on for Sub-Editors and Media Team on the 11th and 12th of December. You beautiful people who pitch us an idea, we will be in touch then to talk about how we take it to the next level. The following week is the special time when we announce the Media Team and Sub Editor Duos.
