It’s the end of week 10 and if you’re a science student, this is about the time your cortisol levels begin to rise exponentially and you descend into a constant state of stress-induced hypertension.

If this is you, I’m here to remind you that it will all be worth it.

Here are 8 exciting things to look forward to in your science career, courtesy of Twitter: #BadStockPhotosOfMyJob

#1: Finally getting to put your undergrad lab skills to use in the real world

#2: Eating nutritious bowls of dirt before hitting the geology lab each morning

#3: Getting regular opportunities to listen to your patients

#4: Performing expert genetic modification

#5: Becoming a Level 5 atomic/planetary scientist with the world at your fingertips

#6: Forming emotional bonds with your food science samples

#7: Gynaecology

#8: Cracking open a cold one after a long day in the lab

Hang in there, future scientists. The world needs you 😊
