Justice for Cassius

The murder of Cassius is not an isolated incident. Over 400 Indigenous people have died in custody at the hands of a policing system that fails them. Cassius deserves better, and it is our duty to speak up. We were united as a nation when Cleo went missing, and we can do it again if we make a concerted effort to speak up for all Australians. * If you want to show your support for Cassius, there is a Vigil this evening at 5:30 pm at Midland Oval and a Rally in Boorloo (Perth) on November 2nd at Forrest Place in the city at 12:30pm.

Iran Protests

As protests to support the persecution of women in Iran under the regime of Ebrahim Raisi have gone global, UWA and the broader Perth community have continued to show solidarity and provide avenues for UWA students to tangibly incite action.   

Regenerating Australia

On the 23rd of August, volunteering groups 350 Boorloo Perth and Fossil Free UWA teamed up to put on a screening of Damon Gameau’s film: Regenerating Australia. The ‘mockumentary’ was creative but not comedic – projecting onto Australia a shiny future. There were mixed reactions…
