It appears that once again Spark has claimed the Guild elections; based on provisional results (pending certification by the WAEC), it seems that almost all the office bearing positions have gone once again to Spark candidates, making for another impressive Spark showing.
The composition of the full council remains to be seen, but as of yet, we have;

Oliver Barret for Guild President, Annabelle Brennan for General secretary, Zen Hately for Sports rep, Tara Mishra for Public Affairs Council Pres, Jonathan Tay for SOC President, Jennifer Woo for Wellbeing, Ava Ebbutt for Women’s, Emily Bunschoten for Education Council President, and Zered Robinson for Environment.
The one exception to the Spark rule thus far is the ISD presidency, which was unsurprisingly won by Ojaswi Shrestha with Global.

This isn’t a surprising outcome given the incumbency bias of Guild elections, but it’s a strong showing from Spark to secure broad control of the Guild for the 5th year in a row. It now remains to be seen the composition of the OGC and NUS positions, and whether Spark can effectively deliver on the promises it made in this election.
