As the Perth International Revelation Film Festival has officially come to a close, it’s time to present my final report card for the second week of the fest. So without further ado, here are the results
The film is remarkably well balanced in its depictions of both sides of the coming-of age narrative. The trials and tribulations experienced by both Christine and her parents’ is why Lady Bird will likely feel relatable to audiences of all ages.
Aptly described by Soderbergh as an “anti-glam version of an Ocean’s movie”, Logan Lucky is a return to the style of filmmaking that made his Ocean’s trilogy a box office hit. Dominic Kwaczynski reviews.
Clearly the film was made with a teen audience in mind and the result is your typical M-rated action blockbuster, full of goofy humour and noisy set pieces but nothing distinct to set it apart. Dominic Kwaczynski reviews.
